About Roman Bridge station

Roman Bridge — Pont Rhufeinig in Welsh — is a station in the Lledr Valley on the Conwy Valley Line, 22 miles 48 chains (36.4 km) from Llandudno Junction, between Dolwyddelan and Blaenau Ffestiniog. The name comes from a nearby ancient bridge over the River Lledr, which carries a minor road from the A470 to scattered hill farms at Blaenau Dolwyddelan.

Both the station and the trains that call here are operated by Transport for Wales Rail. Recorded usage was 612 in the year from April 2024 to March 2025.

Straight lines are not walking routes

A hill 8 km away in a straight line can be a much longer day on the ground — and on rural lines the last train home leaves early and some stations are request stops with a handful of services a day. Check live times and facilities for Roman Bridge before you commit, plan the route on a proper map, and give the daylight planner your real finish time.
