Privacy
You can use every page and every tool on this site without telling us anything about yourself. This page says exactly what happens when you do. Last updated 13 August 2026.

No cookies, no analytics, no tracking
This site sets no cookies and loads no analytics, advertising or tracking scripts — first-party or third-party. Nothing on any page reports your visit to us or to anyone else. There is no consent banner because there is nothing to consent to.
What actually happens when you use the site
- Reading pages. The site is served by Cloudflare, our hosting provider. Like any web server, Cloudflare processes the technical data a request contains — your IP address, the page requested, the time, your browser's user-agent — to deliver the page and to defend the site against attack and abuse. We do not export those logs, analyse them, or join them to anything else.
- The planning tools. The walking-time calculator, daylight planner, access checker and pack-weight tool compute their answers in your browser from what you type, and send nothing anywhere. The hill-bagging tracker and the pack-weight tool save your entries in your own browser's local storage so they are still there when you come back; that data stays on your device, is never transmitted to us, and is removed if you clear your browser storage.
- Summit weather. Forecasts are fetched from our own server, which asksMET Norway for the summit's coordinates. Your browser talks only to this site — your IP address is not sent to the forecaster, and the coordinates requested are the hill's, not yours. Nothing asks your browser for your location.
- Email. If you write to us, we hold your address and what you wrote for as long as it takes to deal with, plus a record of any correction we made. We do not add you to any list.
Your rights
Under UK GDPR you can ask us for a copy of any personal data we hold about you, ask us to correct or delete it, object to our processing, or complain to theInformation Commissioner's Office. In practice, unless you have emailed us, we hold nothing that identifies you — and we would rather say so than pretend otherwise.
Changes
If this site ever introduces analytics, advertising, cookies or anything else this page does not describe, the page will be updated before the change goes live, not after.
