About North Llanrwst station
North Llanrwst is the only place on the Conwy Valley line between Llandudno Junction and Blaenau Ffestiniog where trains can pass each other. It is a request stop, and has carried several names over the years, including Llanrwst and Trefriw, Llanrwst, and Llanrwst North. In September 2024 it was confirmed that Transport for Wales would fund renaming the station once again, as North Llanrwst and Trefriw.

A hill 8 km away in a straight line can be a much longer day on the ground — and on rural lines the last train home leaves early and some stations are request stops with a handful of services a day.
