About Moel Siabod

Moel Siabod stands apart from its neighbours above the village of Dolwyddelan and, at 872 metres, is the highest summit in the Moelwynion range of Snowdonia. The Welsh name means bare hill; the sense of Siabod is unknown.

Plas-y-Brenin, the UK National Mountain Centre, sits at the mountain's foot. From the top it is said that 13 of the 15 highest peaks in Wales can be seen on a clear day without turning your head.
