About Creigiau Gleision

Creigiau Gleision lies near Capel Curig and is the easternmost of the high Carneddau, cut off from the rest of the group by Llyn Cowlyd. Pen Llithrig y Wrach faces it directly across the reservoir, while to the north-east the hill runs out into the broad ridge of Cefn Cyfarwydd.

The name is plural, and the mountain does in fact have three tops. The southernmost is the highest at 676 m; the Ordnance Survey map also marks the northerly one, about half a mile away, at 632 m. A middle top of intermediate height sits between them, cairnless and unmarked on the map.

Views run in all directions, north to the coast and along the Ogwen Valley and Dyffryn Mymbyr towards Snowdon.
