About Little Hart Crag
Little Hart Crag stands at the head of Scandale, six kilometres north of Ambleside, at 637 m. It is an eastern outlier of Dove Crag in the Eastern Fells, but with 34 m of prominence from that fell it qualifies separately as both a Hewitt and a Nuttall.
It is often taken in on the Dovedale horseshoe, an 11 km round from Brothers Water linking Hartsop above How, Hart Crag, Dove Crag and High Hartsop Dodd.
