Dove Crag

About Dove Crag

Dove Crag reaches 792 m in the Eastern Fells, some seven kilometres south-south-west of Glenridding. Many walkers cross it on the Fairfield horseshoe, but the crags that give the fell its character lie just north-east of the top and are best seen on a direct approach from Patterdale.

The summit was originally unnamed on maps, being only a minor top; the name Dove Crag came to be applied to it over time by common consent.
