About Esgeiriau Gwynion

The Welsh name Esgeiriau Gwynion translates as 'white shanks'. It is the smallest of the three Marilyns of the Aran range, the others being Aran Fawddwy and Glasgwm.

Lying east of Aran Fawddwy across the gap of Bwlch Sirddyn, the hill curves round Cwm Cynllwyd towards the Berwyn range at Foel y Geifr. Its tops are boggy throughout, rising from a wild plateau of peat bog that a road crosses at Bwlch y Groes.
