Great Gable

About Great Gable

Great Gable owes its name to the pyramid it presents to Wasdale; seen from most other directions it is a dome rather than a gable. It is one of the busier Lakeland fells, with many routes converging on the top.

The high pass of Windy Gap connects it to its smaller sister Green Gable, while the lower Beck Head links it westward to Kirk Fell.
