Fleetwith Pike stands over Buttermere and the Honister Pass, the section of the B5289 linking Borrowdale with Buttermere, and its abrupt profile above the valley head makes it one of the more readily recognised fells of this corner of the Lake District.

At roughly 649 m it is a Wainwright and a Hewitt, set in the western Lake District in the county of Cumberland.
