About Garreg Lwyd

Garreg Lwyd, also called Moel Gornach, is a subsidiary summit of Fan Brycheiniog in the Black Mountain at the western end of the Bannau Brycheiniog. It marks the westernmost ground above 610 m in South Wales.

No marked path crosses the mountain, though it can be reached from the car parks on the A4069 between Brynamman and Llangadog. The summit carries a cairn with a trig point, and the hill is a Hewitt, Nuttall, HuMP and Simm.
