About Bowscale Fell

Bowscale Fell occupies the extreme north-eastern corner of the Blencathra group in the Northern Fells, linked to that higher fell by Bannerdale Crags in between. It rises above the village of Mungrisdale.

Its two sides differ markedly: the western slopes are smooth and convex, a common Lakeland pattern, while the eastern flank breaks into crags.
