About Baystones
Baystones is the higher ground of Wansfell, the fell lying about 2.4 km east of Ambleside. Wansfell forms part of the long southern ridge of Caudale Moor and fills the belt of country between Ambleside and the Troutbeck valley, so Baystones is best read as a top on that ridge rather than a separate hill. It reaches 486.9 m and is a Wainwright.
