About Tarn Crag (Easedale)

Strictly speaking, Tarn Crag is just the rock face overlooking Easedale Tarn. Alfred Wainwright stretched the name in his Pictorial Guide to the Lakeland Fells to cover the whole ridge separating Easedale from Far Easedale, and that broader usage is what walkers now mean by the fell.

It sits among the Central Fells of the Lake District, in Westmorland and Furness, and features in the Birkett, Synge and Fellranger lists alongside Wainwright's.
