About Moel Lefn

Moel Lefn closes the northern end of the Hebog ridge in Eryri, a subsidiary of Moel Hebog and sister summit to Moel yr Ogof. Beddgelert Forest presses against its eastern side while Cwm Pennant opens to the west, and the Nantlle ridge is well seen from the top.

The mountain is built largely of rhyolite, and the north-eastern flank shows clear columnar jointing in that rock. Two tall upright cairns stand on the eastern side of the hill.
