About High Seat

High Seat sits in the middle of the Lake District and, at 609 m, falls just short of 2,000 feet. Even so, nothing higher stands within roughly five miles in any direction.

That comes down to a quirk of the district's shape: the central ground is lower than the country around it. The fell appears on the Wainwright, HuMP, Simm, Birkett, Synge and Fellranger lists.
