About Gwaun y Llwyni

Gwaun y Llwyni is a subsidiary summit of Aran Fawddwy within the Aran range of southern Snowdonia. Its southern face is very steep and forms one of the backwalls of Cwm Cywarch.

The top is grassy with a small cairn. Pen yr Allt Uchaf rises across Cwm Cywarch, with Aran Fawddwy north-east, Waun Camddwr north and Glasgwm west.

Gwaun y Llwyni is not counted as an independent hill in its own right. In prominence terms it belongs to Aran Fawddwy (906 m) — the nearest Marilyn you can reach from this summit without first dropping below its key col, 643 m.
