Green Road station is on the Cumbrian Coast Line between Carlisle and Barrow-in-Furness, 13½ miles north-west of Barrow, and serves the civil parish of Millom Without in Cumbria. It is owned by Network Rail and managed by Northern Trains, and its recorded usage for April 2024 to March 2025 was 7,480. The station has been adopted since 1981, is a member of Northern Trains' station adoption scheme, and has won a number of awards for its gardens.
