About Edale station
Edale station serves the rural village of Edale in the Derbyshire Peak District, 20 miles west of Sheffield and 22 miles east of Manchester Piccadilly. It opened in 1894 on the Midland Railway's Dore and Chinley line, now known as the Hope Valley Line, and stands about five minutes' walk from the centre of the village. Services are operated by Northern Trains; the station's recorded usage for April 2024 to March 2025 was 171,814.
