About Y Garn

Y Garn stands north of Dolgellau in southern Eryri as an outlier of the Rhinogydd, rising above Coed-y-Brenin forest and the Rhaeadr Du waterfalls.

An abandoned gold mine lies on the eastern slopes. From the 629 m summit, Diffwys at 750 m is visible to the north. The hill is a Hewitt, Nuttall and Marilyn.
