About Top o' Selside (Wainwright summit)

Top o'Selside is the high point of the block of hills lying between Coniston Water and Windermere, a group that also takes in the Wainwright of Black Fell together with Black Brows and Rusland Heights. Rather than sitting centrally, it occupies the south-western corner of that ground, just beyond the plantations of Grizedale Forest and roughly two-thirds of a mile back from the eastern shore of Coniston Water.

The distance from any higher ground gives it enough relative height to qualify as a Marilyn, and it is also an Outlying Fell and a Birkett.
