The Brack

About The Brack

The Brack sits on the south side of Glen Croe in the Arrochar Alps, near Loch Goil. It has two tops: the main summit, seen from Glen Croe and Loch Goil, and the lower Cruach Fhiarach to the south-east, which shows from the shores of Loch Long.

The hill belongs to the Ardgoil range, on a peninsula with Loch Goil to the west and Loch Long to the east, both arms of the Firth of Clyde. Cols connect it to the neighbouring Corbetts Ben Donich and Cnoc Còinnich, and higher peaks stand around it, though it qualifies as a Corbett on its own account. The Loch Lomond and Cowal Way crosses the bealach to the south, between The Brack and Cnoc Còinnich.
