About Mount Battock
Mount Battock is a rounded peak of the Mounth on the eastern rim of the Scottish Highlands, straddling the Aberdeenshire–Angus boundary above the northern side of Glen Esk. Tarfside is the nearest settlement.
At 778 metres it is the most easterly Corbett, and by that measure the most easterly mountain in Scotland. It is also a historic county top, Marilyn, HuMP and Simm.
