About Hunt Hill
Hunt Hill lies in Angus, in the southern part of the Cairngorms National Park, about 4 km west-north-west of Loch Lee. It has 181 m of prominence, making it the 1,947th highest peak in Scotland and 2,321st in the United Kingdom.
Ascents start from the car park at the end of the Glen Esk road, a round of about 18 km taking some six hours. The route passes the Falls of Unich and the Falls of Damp on the Water of Unich before climbing from the south, then drops to Glen Lee and returns along Loch Lee; it has been described as a splendid and varied walk to a fine hilltop.
