About Hartsop Dodd
Rising south-east of Brothers Water in the eastern Lake District, Hartsop Dodd is strictly a subsidiary top on the north ridge of Caudale Moor rather than an independent fell.
Wainwright nevertheless treated it as a fell in its own right in his Pictorial Guide to the Lakeland Fells, and that convention is followed here — hence its place among the Wainwrights alongside Nuttall, Birkett, Synge and Fellranger listings.
