Green Hill

About Green Hill

Green Hill stands above Cowan Bridge, in the angle where Lancashire, Cumbria and North Yorkshire meet, with Kirkby Lonsdale and Ingleton the nearest towns. Its 628 m summit lies roughly four kilometres almost due west of Whernside.

The hill acts as the watershed between the River Dee and Leck Beck, both of which feed the Lune. It is a Nuttall, inside the Yorkshire Dales National Park.
