About Fan Gyhirych

Fan Gyhirych rises in the Fforest Fawr part of the Bannau Brycheiniog national park in south Wales, within the historic county of Breconshire and now administered by Powys. Its trig point stands towards the western edge of a summit plateau.

Drainage runs north into the Afon Crai catchment and south and west into that of the River Tawe. The neighbouring hill of Fan Fraith can reasonably be treated as a subsidiary top of Fan Gyhirych.
