About Yr Eifl
Yr Eifl, sometimes known in English as the Rivals, is a group of hills rising from the north coast of the Llŷn Peninsula in Gwynedd, Wales. The group makes an especially prominent sight from the south-west coast of Anglesey, for instance from Ynys Llanddwyn.
On a clear day the panorama from the highest summit takes in the Isle of Man, the Wicklow Mountains in Ireland and the Lake District, together with the whole sweep of Cardigan Bay. Ordnance Survey maps give the top a height of 564 metres, though a more recent survey found it slightly lower, at 561 metres.
