About Ullock Pike

Ullock Pike stands about seven kilometres north-west of Keswick in the northern Lake District, and is best understood as part of a chain rather than on its own: with Long Side and Carl Side it makes up Skiddaw's south-western ridge.

Alfred Wainwright rated that north-west ridge the finest approach to Skiddaw, describing a narrow crest with wide views and, for those counting tops, three summits gathered in before Skiddaw itself. Ullock Pike is the first of them, and is listed as a Wainwright, Birkett, Synge and Fellranger fell.
