About Tomle

Tomle is a top of Cadair Berwyn rather than an independent hill, and it is the highest summit on the most easterly of Cadair Berwyn's long south ridges. Its own top is boggy and carries no marker.

North along the ridge the ground rises to Cadair Berwyn North Top, with the Craig Berwyn face beginning on the western side. Southwards lie Foel Wen, Foel Wen South Top and Mynydd Tarw; Godor stands to the west.

Finding the summit

The recorded summit point is ground 1m from small cairn near fence corner. That distinction matters on broad or flat tops, where the obvious cairn is not always the true high point.
