About Slieve Commedagh

Second only to Slieve Donard in both the Mournes and Northern Ireland as a whole, Slieve Commedagh stands north-west of Donard, the two joined by a col. Further west again lies the lower top of Slieve Corragh.

The Mourne Wall crosses the summit on an east-west line, and a small tower stands at the top alongside the remains of an ancient burial cairn. The mountain looks down on the Glen River to the east and the Pot of Legawherry to the west, while a cluster of granite tors known as the Castles breaks the southern slopes.
