About Post Gwyn

Post Gwyn is a subsidiary summit of Cadair Berwyn and the western outpost of the main central Berwyn range, which also takes in the Hirnantau to the west, crowned by Cyrniau Nod.

The summit is the highest rise on the most westerly of Cadair Berwyn's long south ridges, a ridge covered in peat bog with very deep heather. No well-trodden paths have formed and the top is seldom visited; it is marked by a pile of stones and looks over Cwm Rhiwarth. The ridge runs on south to Glan-hafon, which at 608 m falls short of 2,000 ft.
