About Pen Cerrig-calch

Pen Cerrig-calch is a subsidiary summit of Waun Fach in the Black Mountains, in southern Powys within the national park. Its trig-pointed top at 701 metres looks down on the valley of the Usk where it narrows above Crickhowell.

The view is broad, reaching west as far as the Beacons. A ridge leaves the summit to the north-west over the shoulder of Pen Gloch-y-pibwr before bending north to Pen Allt-mawr, a 719-metre top also carrying a trig point.
