Little Mell Fell

About Little Mell Fell

Little Mell Fell is an outlier of the Eastern Fells, standing north of Ullswater near Watermillock and joined to other high ground only by a narrow col to the south.

It sits just east of Great Mell Fell, and the two are alike in size, in their smooth rounded outlines and in their apparent isolation. They also share a geology found nowhere else among the Lakeland fells: both are built of Devonian conglomerate.
