About Craig Gwaun Taf
Craig Gwaun Taf, also called Duwynt, takes the form of a long ridge running north-west to south-east in the Brecon Beacons, within the national park in Powys. Its north-eastern flank falls away steeply.
The summit, marked by a small cairn, lies at the north-west end of the ridge. From there the ground turns north and dips into the very shallow col of Bwlch Duwynt before rising again to Corn Du.

Craig Gwaun Taf is not counted as an independent hill in its own right. In prominence terms it belongs to Pen y Fan (886 m) — the nearest Marilyn you can reach from this summit without first dropping below its key col, 810 m.
Grouping is by prominence alone: a summit belongs to the nearest higher Marilyn it connects to without a deeper intervening col. Over a large massif that can gather hills no one would walk in a single day, and which few would describe as parts of the same mountain — it is a measure of independence, not a suggested route.
