About Y Groes Fagl

Y Groes Fagl belongs to the Hirnantau, the section of the Berwyn range in north-east Wales, and is counted as a top of Cyrniau Nod. The Snowdonia National Park boundary runs just east of the summit.

The character here is flat, featureless moorland. The view opens out a long way in every direction but has little to fix on, and the summit itself is identified only by a post. Northwards the ridge carries on towards Foel Cwm Sian Llwyd.
