Sgurr an Fhidhleir

About Sgurr an Fhidhleir

The name means "Hill of the Fiddler", and the hill's chief feature is the wall of rock beneath its top: the summit stands directly above a vertical cliff some 500 metres high. It lies in the Coigach district of Ross and Cromarty, in the Northwest Highlands.

Walkers commonly take it together with the adjoining Ben More Coigach. The nearest settlements are Badenscallie, around 5 km west, and others strung along the coast road running south from Achiltibuie; Ullapool is the nearest town of any size.
