About Sgurr a' Bhealaich Dheirg
The Gaelic name of Sgurr a' Bhealaich Dheirg translates as 'peak of the red gap'. The mountain stands in Kintail, on the north flank of Glen Shiel, and at 1,036 metres it is the highest of the three Munros walkers call the Brothers of Kintail, the others being Aonach Meadhoin and Saileag.
The better-known Five Sisters of Kintail lie a short way to the west, so the Brothers are often considered alongside them when planning a day on the north side of the glen.
