About Pendle Hill
Pendle Hill rises to 557 metres in the east of Lancashire, close to the towns of Burnley, Nelson, Colne, Brierfield, Clitheroe and Padiham, and lends its name to the Borough of Pendle. It is an isolated hill of the Pennines, standing apart from the South Pennines to the east, the Bowland Fells to the north-west and the West Pennine Moors to the south.
The hill is included within a detached portion of the Forest of Bowland Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.
