About Mynydd Carn-y-cefn
Mynydd Carn-y-cefn is a broad ridge of high ground dividing the Ebbw Vale from the valley of the Ebbw Fach in the Valleys region of South Wales, within the county borough of Blaenau Gwent (historically Monmouthshire). The broad-topped ridge runs roughly north-north-west to south-south-east, and its 550-metre summit, between Ebbw Vale and Blaina, is crowned by a triangulation pillar. The hill is classed as a Marilyn.
