About Mullach nan Coirean East Top
Mullach nan Coirean East Top is a 916.6-metre Munro Top of Mullach nan Coirean, a 939-metre Munro in the Mamores of the Scottish Highlands and the most westerly of the range's ten Munros. The Top also ranks as a Simm and a Murdo.
Mullach nan Coirean takes its Gaelic name from 'summit of the corries', though it is also known as Sgùrr a' Chaorainn, 'peak of the rowan'. The mountain has a lower peak, Meall a' Chaorainn, to its west, and is connected eastwards to Stob Bàn by a col at 846 metres; the two Munros are frequently combined in a single walk from Glen Nevis.

Which hill this one belongs to
Mullach nan Coirean East Top is not counted as an independent hill in its own right. In prominence terms it belongs to Stob Ban (1,000 m) — the nearest Marilyn you can reach from this summit without first dropping below its key col, 878 m.
Grouping is by prominence alone: a summit belongs to the nearest higher Marilyn it connects to without a deeper intervening col. Over a large massif that can gather hills no one would walk in a single day, and which few would describe as parts of the same mountain — it is a measure of independence, not a suggested route.
