About Liathach - Mullach an Rathain
Mullach an Rathain, at 1,024 metres, is one of the two Munro summits on Liathach, a mountain of the Torridon Hills set between Loch Torridon and Beinn Eighe. The higher of the pair is Spidean a' Choire Leith, 'peak of the grey corrie', at 1,055 metres.
Liathach runs as an east-west ridge carrying several peaks, and its upper half is built of many steep rocky terraces, so Mullach an Rathain is generally considered as part of that whole rather than in isolation. The local Torridon Gaelic form of the name is Liaghaich.
