Creag Ghuanach stands at the southern head of Loch Treig, in Lochaber. It is a small hill by Grampian standards at 621 m, but very craggy, and rises steeply straight from the loch below.

The nearest village, Roybridge, is several miles to the north. It is classed as a Graham and a Marilyn.
