About Carn an Fhidhleir
Carn an Fhidhleir, also known as Carn Ealar, is a domed Grampian summit at the centre of a vast roadless tract between the Cairngorms and the Mounth. Three historic counties meet here: Inverness-shire, Perthshire and Aberdeenshire.
It is also a hydrological triple point, standing where the catchments of the Dee, the Spey and the Tay come together. Approaches run in from Glen Tilt or from the Linn of Dee, and a mountain bike is one way of shortening the distance.
