About Buachaille Etive Beag - Stob Dubh
Stob Dubh is the southern and higher Munro on Buachaille Etive Beag, a ridge of about 3 km running south-west to north-east between Glen Coe and Glen Etive. The high pass of Lairig Gartain separates the ridge from its larger neighbour, Buachaille Etive Mòr, to the east.
The ridge carries a second Munro, Stob Coire Raineach at 925 m in the middle, promoted in the 1997 revision of Munro's Tables when all tops with more than 150 m of prominence were raised to full status. Stob nan Cabar, smaller again, closes the northern end.
