About Ben Hope

Ben Hope is the most northerly Munro, standing on its own southeast of Loch Hope in Sutherland, surrounded by the bumpy peat moorland of the Flow Country. It reaches 927 metres.

In shape it is a roughly triangular wedge, carrying a large crag on its western side and dropping to lower shoulders south and northeast. The ground is very rocky, but alpine flowers are plentiful in season. The Aetherius Society counts Ben Hope among its nineteen holy mountains.
