About Beinn Dhorain

Beinn Dhorain is a sandstone hill in Sutherland, in the far north of Scotland, lying west of the coastal village of Helmsdale. Although the Northwest Highlands are better known for jagged outlines, this one is rounded in profile.

What gives it presence is the abrupt way it rises above Glen Loth rather than its 628 m of altitude. It qualifies as a Graham and a Marilyn, and stands well away from the busier northern ranges.
