About Beinn a' Bhathaich Ard
Beinn a' Bhathaich Àrd stands on the north side of Glen Strathfarrar, at the eastern end of the glen, about 5 km north-west of Struy and 16 km west of Beauly.
It is not the highest hill in Strathfarrar, but its position at the mouth of the glen makes it conspicuous from far off, and it reads as a landmark across much of The Aird, from Inverness and from the Kessock Bridge. Ascents are generally made from the hamlet of Inchmore at the foot of the strath.
