About Beacon Hill
Norfolk's highest point sits close to the North Norfolk coast, about 1.2 km south of West Runton, and reaches 105 m. It goes by a second name, Roman Camp.
The summit and the woods around it are National Trust land, crossed by a number of footpaths. Calves Well Lane runs west from Sandy Lane to a car park, kept up through donations left in the Trust's collection box at its edge; there are litter bins and benches on the site.
