About Waun Garnedd-y-Filiast

Waun Garnedd-y-filiast is a top of Carnedd y Filiast in the Arenig range, sitting on the Snowdonia National Park boundary near Cerrigydrudion. It falls within the Migneint, a broad tract of moorland, and the summit is a small plateau of bog and peat hags with a few stones to mark the top. Foel Goch, Carnedd Llechwedd-llyfn and Mwdwl-eithin are all visible from it.

It was absent from the Nuttalls' original list. A 1999 survey measured its re-ascent at 15.1295 m, marginally short of the 50 ft threshold, which caused some controversy over its inclusion.
